The Cincinnati Lapidary Guild enables artists, craftspeople, professionals, and hobbyists to pursue their creative vision in lapidary, faceting, metalworking, and related arts. We provide hands-on skill-building projects and classes, public education in a variety of venues and events, opportunities to study and collect rock and mineral specimens, networking for support and camaraderie.
The Cincinnati Lapidary Guild is dedicated to teaching its members and the greater Cincinnati community about the many facets of the lapidary arts including gem cutting, stone setting, and even copper smithing. Members attend monthly meetings for demonstrations and hands on projects such as cutting and setting your own cabochon, wire wrapping, and chainmail bracelets. The guild goes on multiple field trips each year to search for minerals and stones for guild and personal projects. We give stone cutting demonstrations at rock and mineral shows to educate the community on this unique artform. The guild is open to all ages, and anyone interested in learning and expanding their skills. Come join us the second Monday of each month for classes and demonstrations.
We are a nonprofit organization with federal 501(c)(3) designation. Donations to Cincinnati Lapidary Guild are tax-deductible and enable us to provide education and support of lapidary arts to the community.
Meetings are held at 7PM on the second Monday of every month at 2701 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45225. Visitors Welcome!
